In the last 3 games our boys have outscored their opponents a whopping 24-2! And we are well on our way to earning a playoff spot, and hopefully a rematch with our week one opponent, Dighton/Rehoboth. Anthony got us going early on with a nice finish from inside the box. Then Cole put continuous pressure on the Seekonk defense and his hard work paid off with a nice goal to put us up 2-0. It was great to see Cole come in after missing 3 games and contribute in his first shift on the field. Great job Cole!

Tres is emerging as an all-star caliber defender!

When we found out early Saturday that our MVP center back, Curly, wasn't going to be able to play due to illness, everybody was a little worried. John Butler started in Curly's spot and was lights out... not letting the Seekonk attack get a good shot on Remy. When Butler joined our attack later in the first half, Tres stepped in and controlled the middle of the field and was a big reason along with Felix and Coby in our getting the shutout. On Sunday he was a monster in the middle for St. Michaels too! Great job Tres!

It was great to hear the boys talking throughout the game. Butler was acting like a quarterback all game and Vincent was chirping like a pro and sending great balls to our outside speedsters George and Remy. Vince has been playing the very difficult center mid position for the past few weeks and has played at a very high level. One of the best passers on the team, (he won both passing contests at practice on Thursday) always unselfish, and has a goal in each of the last 3 games! All while playing with good sportsmanship and cheering on his teammates when he is on the bench. Keep it up!

George and Marmelo once again showed why they are considered premier players. Every game each of them makes me go "wow" at least two or three times. Remy had a nice goal late and played tough at both ends of the field all day. Johns goal from outside the box was a blast!

Christian had a nice PK goal late. That ball was in the back of the net before the goalie had a chance to react. Awesome PK buddy!

Thank you to Rebecca, Mike, and Dawn for the pics and vids!

No practice or game this week. Enjoy your Columbus Day weekend! And don't buy that baloney that Columbus was Spanish. His name was Cristoforo Columbo and he was all goombah! Born and raised in Genoa...
