Mariner United clinches playoff spot with 9-6 win over Barnstable

It wasn’t pretty but we got our 4th straight win on Saturday, beating Barnstable 9-6. Cole got us going with a goal early in his first shift. That’s two goals in two games for Cole!

Remy, George, and Marmelo each scored two goals and Anthony and Vincent each added a goal.

Johnny Bowman did a good job leading the defense in the 2nd half to protect the lead. And consistently did a great job with free kicks and corners.

At 4-1 we have clinched a playoff spot and will likely face Falmouth in the first round in a couple of weeks. Dighton/Rehoboth is still undefeated and will likely finish the season this week with the top playoff seed.
